Laura earned a BS in Engineering with a focus on Architectural Design from Stanford University in 2014 and joined The Cearnal Collective thereafter. As a Project Architect at The Collective, she draws upon her strong organizational and design skills to lead efficient and collaborative teams that deliver a variety of projects, including single family residential, tenant improvements, and mixed-use/multi-family. She also is a valued member of the leadership team, bringing her strategic approach to organizational structure and operational processes.
The creation of abundant, safe, and beautiful housing has always been a passion of Laura's as she considers it a core component of healthy and resilient communities. In all aspects of her work, she is driven by the concepts of affordable- and sustainable-by-design, with the goal of using small, fundamental moves to generate big returns relative to environmental impact and project cost.
As a member of the Santa Barbara community, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Coastal Housing Coalition and of the American Institute of Architects - Santa Barbara. She is also the Committee Chair of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion for AIA-SB. After hours, you'll find her riding horses or beach walking with her pup, Oliver.
