Jeff Hornbuckle, AIA

Jeff received his Bachelor of Architecture in 2003 from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. His senior design thesis focused on mixed-use urban infill and its impact and influence on a city. Jeff earned his license to practice architecture in the state of California in 2010.

Shortly after graduating from Cal-Poly, he joined The Cearnal Collective. For over seven years, Jeff has been an integral part of our design team. His strong graphic, 3D computer-modeling and design skills allow our ideas and designs to be better visualized. Over his time with the firm, Jeff has enjoyed working on a wide range of projects. He is currently the project manager for a 37 unit, 109,000 SF, mixed use development in downtown Santa Barbara and is looking forward to breaking ground on the project this summer.

A Bay Area native and obsessive 49er fan, Jeff enjoys most other sports, the beach and sketching. He and his wife of 31⁄2 years, Kara, enjoy traveling together, most notably their recent trip to Italy.
